I said it didn't really go how I wanted and I didn't think it was very good. "HOW COULD YOU THINK THIS WAS A FAILURE!" he exclaimed. He told me it was great. And he summarily took the painting and put it on display in his room. He is my best hype buddy and I should aspire to do this kind of self-talk for myself.
