Hey Izel, this is such an awesome post! I have a sister who always writes down her dreams, but I never really thought to write my down. I will try to now because we forget our dreams so easily! I really enjoyed the Frankenstein piece you added in here. It really shows that creativity can come from anywhere, including our dreams :)
Thank you Khadejah! (I had a teacher whose name was also Khadejah!) It truly is marvelous what something small such as dreams can do! And it's so cool that your sister writes them down! You should try it out!
That's so cool Izel! Khadejah is a rare name so always cool to see other people who have it! I definitely will try writing out my dreams! Thank you so much for writing this :)
I woke up from a deep sleep surprised I didn’t dream. Instead if getting up, I let myself linger and found them all there. Writing them down now. Thanks for the inspiration, I was getting distracted in substack!
I think a dream diary would be a wonderful thing to start keeping again. My issue is that I'm so slow to wake up and usually by the time I'm up, all my thoughts are lost haha.
I love the concept of capturing creativity from dreams. Before I had my first child, I kept a dream diary (now I’m just too tired after waking up to kids screaming during the night). I flicked through it the other day and couldn’t stop laughing. Some of them were so ridiculous!
I know right! Like sometimes I literary dream about elephants chasing me! Make no sense at all. But the dream journal is nice thing to do! It’s kinda sad that had to stop it. But I understand. Hope you can continue it again when the kids are grown up.
Such an interesting article Izel! I didn't know Frankenstein was born out of a dream. So fascinating. This is lowkey magic. The status of dreams has now increased in my eyes xD.

That happens to me as well. Most of the time, I can’t remember the dream 😅

Oh I definitely will continue it again one day!
Love the visuals Izel! 😍
Also, I've been dreaming so much more vividly since I started writing !
Thank You!! <3
That's so cool! Guess you could use this strategy then!
Great advice. I read a story in substack recently inspired by the writers dream and it was an excellent read.
Thank you for reading Tania! Everyone has some unique dreams that can be converted into art.
